Why we're building a focused study companion for OMVIC certification and the new CPD renewal program, and what to expect before launch.
OMVIC’s new Continuing Professional Development program became mandatory on July 1, 2026. Every dealer renews every year, every salesperson renews every two, and every renewal now means an assessment, with 80% to pass.
Layered on top of the initial certification thousands of new salespeople and dealers already write through Georgian College, that’s roughly 30,000 licensed Ontarians with a recurring exam touchpoint. The existing study tools are scattered, mostly free and ad-supported, with weak trust signals and no polished mobile app.
DealerPrep is the professional alternative. iPhone-native, local-first, with mock exams that match the real format and explanations that cite the underlying MVDA section or OMVIC bulletin. Independent of OMVIC and Georgian College, sourced from public legislation, reviewed by an Ontario subject-matter expert before launch.
