Who runs DealerPrep
DealerPrep is operated independently in Ontario, Canada. Contact: [email protected].
Study companion, not a credential
DealerPrep is a third-party study tool. It does not issue credentials, certifications, or licenses. The Automotive Certification Course and OMVIC's CPD program are administered by Georgian College and OMVIC respectively, on their own platforms. Passing within DealerPrep is not a passing grade for any official assessment.
No affiliation
DealerPrep is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OMVIC, the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery, Georgian College, or the Automotive Business School of Canada. References to these organisations are nominative, identifying the regulators and courses the app prepares for, not claiming any partnership.
Accuracy and updates
We use commercially reasonable efforts to keep questions and references aligned with the current MVDA and OMVIC regulations. Regulations change; mistakes happen. If you spot one, email [email protected]. Use of DealerPrep is at your own risk; you should always verify a specific legal requirement against the source legislation.
Acceptable use
- Don't scrape, mass-download, or republish the question bank.
- Don't share access to a paid entitlement across accounts.
- Don't attempt to disrupt the service for other users.
- Don't reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
Intellectual property
Question content, explanatory copy, and original commentary on this site and in the app are © DealerPrep. You may use them for personal study only.
Legislation excerpts under /legislation are reproduced under the Open Government Licence (Ontario) from e-Laws. Court and tribunal decisions cited under /compliance are reproduced from CanLII per its Terms of Use s. 4.2 with attribution. OMVIC discipline outcomes and dealer bulletins are summarised in our own words from public regulatory output.
Subscriptions and purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled through Apple's standard refund process. Subscription pricing and terms are shown at checkout in the App Store.
App Store terms
Use of the DealerPrep iOS app is also subject to Apple's standard End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. To the extent there is any conflict between these terms and Apple's EULA in respect of the iOS app, these terms govern as between you and DealerPrep, and Apple's EULA governs as between you and Apple. You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for users who breach the Acceptable Use rules above, or where required by law. You may stop using DealerPrep at any time; the relevant provisions of these terms (intellectual property, liability, governing law) survive termination.
Liability
DealerPrep is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to DealerPrep is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you have paid to us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) CAD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including any failed certification or CPD assessment.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of DealerPrep after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it. Any disputes will be heard exclusively in the courts located in Ontario.
